All About Customization Of Indian Wedding Cards

Indian weddings are synonymous to extravaganza, unlimited fun, lavish spread of food, and a lot of colorful rituals. Weddings in India vary in their uniqueness from one state to another. However, one of the common aspects is a week-long wedding. There are plenty of ceremonies and rituals that are to be fulfilled in every Indian wedding, be it of a Hindu couple, Muslim couple, Punjabi or Marathi. Even the traditions differ from one community to the other, however there are similarities as well.

About customized wedding cards in India

Previously, people of any community used to draft all the ceremonies of the wedding in one card. But now the trend has changed. There is a lot of customization that you can notice in the wedding cards. There are different leaves for different ceremonies, and the family removes the leaves of particular ceremonies if they do not want to invite the guests. For instance, if they want to invite friends only for wedding and sangeet, and not for family rituals, they will remove the leaves of Haldi and Mehendi from the wedding card. Hence, customization makes everything easy. Let’s check out what all ceremonies are included in the Indian wedding and mentioned on the Indian wedding cards.

1. Haldi

Haldi is considered the most auspicious element of any Indian community. The bride and the groom apply haldi or turmeric for a prosperous start. This ritual usually has only closed family members and relatives. Hence, very few people are invited to this ceremony. After the haldi ritual is performed, the family members and the guests love to celebrate by enjoying good food and dancing on songs.

2. Mehendi

Another important ritual or ceremony among Indian weddings is the Mehendi. It is not just the bride who applies mehendi for the wedding, even the ladies of both bride and the groom’s family love to adore their hands with a beautiful mehendi design. In some communities, even the groom applies mehendi. Even on this occasion, friends and family members are invited, and not all the relatives and other guests. It is also a closed ceremony. Most of the times, mehendi is coordinated with sangeet where all the guests love to perform and enjoy to the fullest.

So, the next big day or the wedding day. This is the most important day of all when the bride and groom tie the knot for life. So the wedding invitations have all the details about the wedding day, including the time of Varmala, phere, and Baraat ceremony.

Varmala is the exchange of the garlands, with which the wedding begins. Hence, the guests are expected to witness the beautiful moment. Next comes the Phere, Sindoor, and Bidaai moments. All the guests are supposed to see the entire wedding and then proceed to the lavish meal.
