6 Pre-Wedding Treatments for the Bride to Look Her Best – Wedamor

pre-wedding treatments

Let me just start by saying that this is in no way a ‘need’ because treatment or no treatment, you’re still going to look just your perfect self on this day and we have zero doubts about it. Still, these pre-wedding treatments are for those brides who want to dig in for some extra effort and have that immense love towards a pampering session.

6 Pre-wedding Treatments for the Bride

Hera are some of the pre-wedding treatments you must try:-

1) Facial

After all the sun-kissed selfies and shopping in the exasperating heat, it becomes important to get that glow back on your face. Now, it’s up to you to decide which facial you want to get- basic or the honeydew-lotusey-what-not fancy facial which includes microdermabrasion, collagen injections, glycolic peels and more (I don’t even know what all that means). The key thing, of course, is the cleaning, toning, exfoliating with a gentle massage and as long as these things are included, you’re good to go.

2) Bikini wax

Some tidying up of hair is never a wrong decision. Since it’s a sensitive area, remember to get it done at least two weeks before the wedding day.

3) Teeth Whitening

Of course, for the photographs.

In today’s date, almost all of us are heavily inclined towards some sort of dark liquid- be it coffee, tea or red wine. And unfortunately, they play a big role in turning perfectly white teeth to a solemn yellow eventually. This outer stained layer of our teeth is enamel and a single session of teeth whitening will do wonders for your teeth and your selfies. It is advisable to get it done a few months before the wedding day.

Once you get it done, avoid having dark liquids for a while. If your teeth are really sensitive and start paining afterwards, switch to sensitive toothpaste as it contains potassium nitrate to relieve the pain. Scientists have found that chewing gum helps too as more saliva is produced then and it also helps in distracting.

4) Microdermabrasion

Okay, guys, I had to do a lot of research on this and it’s a vast matter. Microdermabrasion is one of the very popular pre-wedding treatments, and it is basically a non-surgical facial resurfacing technique which is performed in a series of approx 5-10 sessions. Its aim is to exfoliate the outer skin layer which is covered with dead skin cells and it leaves a smooth, younger-looking skin. It is recommended to get it done at least 5-6 months before the wedding.

The ideal candidate for this treatment is someone who has minor skin imperfections like pigmentation, clogged pores, skin texture problems or minor acne scars. However, it is not exactly suited for someone with deep scars, active keloid, active acne and unstable diabetes. Pregnant women too should not go for this.

Also, another important thing to keep in mind is that you’re not supposed to mix this with any other face treatment- even waxing and tanning skin is to be avoided a few weeks before the microdermabrasion session.  After the session, you need to take care of your skin a little better and never forget to wear a sunblock. Of course, you’ll be getting all the details better from a doctor himself.

5) Keratin Smoothening

For the hair department, you can go for a smoothening treatment to reduce frizzes and give your hair some extra bounce and shine. It usually lasts for 8 months, which means no bad hair days for a long while after the wedding!

Hair dusting is another treatment you can go for. It basically removes all the pesky split ends without you having to compromise on your hair length that you’re beginning to get proud of. Hairstylist Sal Salcedo explained the treatment, saying, “Hair dusting is a technique in which you don’t get rid of any hair length, but only the damaged hair tips. This can be done by snipping the very bottom of each hair strand.”

6) Body Polishing

This is a form of exfoliation for your body resulting in a healthy and younger looking skin. It so acts like a cleanser and effectively helps in removing dirt and oil from your skin. What’s more? It is accompanied by a soothing massage that helps you relax to the very core.
